Chapter 73. Third times the charm.

Shila eventually reached the top as she looked around.

“Skeletons again huh?” She muttered, looking down the edge she was about to jump from.

  “Diary, I’m coming for you.”

Shila jumped, swimming to the bottom, reaching within 10 minutes.

“So much faster without her here.”

She looked around, finding smaller walls on the inside, supposedly to stop the water that had risen over the first wall.

  “...”

“I had to cross another wall and I jumped down,” She muttered, hesitating before swimming up the next wall.

“I ought to check next time so I don’t have to waste my time any further down here… Though I doubt Hildas that far since I’m not being pulled away… probably. Then again, the distance I could go from her increased to over 20km since she reached level 300.” She thought to herself, making sure to check out for any sharks to avoid the fat Hilda suffered.

Shila kept swimming, eventually reaching the top of the following much shorter wall as she flashed the flashlight ahead of her.

“Knew it,” She muttered, finding another wall, albeit an even shorter one ahead of her.

“Troublesome,” She swam to the next wall, finding another one, one even shorter eventually swimming to the 3rd then the 4th wall, the 4th wall having a massive hole due to not having been completed in time.

“Finally,” Shila walked through the hole in the wall and immediately found herself in yet another village.

“Wow, this looks around twice as small as the village before.”

She looked around, heading to the biggest house she could find which was also much smaller.

Shila walked up to the door, detecting mana coming from it, “A spell to attract all nearby monsters towards the spell? What's the point, I’ll be long gone by the time they reach.”

She opened the door, looking around with her flashlight to be careful despite what she just said before entering after making sure the surroundings were safe.

“There it is,” She took the box from the table and opened it, finding a diary inside with waterproof magic on it too.

Opening the diary, Shila was disappointed to find it empty.

“Shame. But I suppose it was expected. It needs to be near the other diary doesn't it…” She sighed, stepping outside as she felt the ground suddenly rumbling.

“Whats… that?” She looked around, finding nothing in the surroundings causing the rumbling.

This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author's work.

“Huh?” Shila said confused, feeling the rumbling feeling get stronger as the ground under her suddenly burst open, a shark coming out to headbutt her chin, knocking her out instantly.

“Are you kidd…” She muttered out before passing out.

(}-----An unknown amount of hours later-----{)

“Ugh…” She groaned, rubbing her chin.

“Where am I? It's so dark… And what's this?” She touched her face and body, feeling a sticky smelly substance on her.

Shila started feeling around for the flashlight, eventually finding it as she switched it on, finding fleshy walls around her with enough space to fit 3 solo camping tents.

  “Right, I’m in the shark.”

She complained softly to herself while investigating around despite not expecting to find anything except more fleshy walls, potentially some bones, and digestive fluids.

“Boo!” A figure shouted as she turned around to investigate, making her fall backward.

“Oh, so that's where you were,” She muttered in annoyance, finding Hilda with a mischievous smile.

“Yep, since somebody left me in here.”

“I have no regrets,” Shila shined the flashlight at Hilda’s eyes, getting no reaction from her.

“I'm level 300, a slightly brighter than normal flashlight isn’t going to affect me,” Hilda attempted to snatch the flashlight as Shila dodged her attempt.

“I know, I just enjoy annoying you,” She said, turning the flashlight on and off repeatedly nonstop.

“Stop that. You do realize we have to get out of here?” Hilda said, teleporting the flashlight out of Shila’s hands and into her own.

“You’re no fun,” Shila pretended to pout before trying to teleport them all to a different floor but got a notification for her efforts.

  Notification.

You got here, you stay here.

  Achievement unlocked.

Dead you, full shark(Auto removes in 3 days. Earned if multiple people stuck in a shark attempt to teleport to another floor.)

“...” They both stared at the notification for a moment.

“I hate that guy so much,” Hilda muttered as Shila angrily kicked the walls of the shark’s body.

“You got the diary right?” Shila asked, concentrating on Hilda’s face for any signs of lying or hesitation.

“Yeah, I already absorbed it in,” Hilda said, watching as Shila relaxed slightly before looking around at the fleshy walls once again.

“Annoying!” Shila shouted, kicking the shark’s insides again but with more strength, causing her to bounce off the wall, landing face-first back into its digestive fluids, some getting into her mouth.

“Bleh!” She spat, cleaning her tongue with the black of her hand but making it worse due to her hand having the shark’s digestive fluids too.

  “Blehhhhhhh!!!”

“Stupid…” Hilda muttered, buying a cloth from the shop as she passed it to Shila who rubbed her tongue with it as roughly as she could.

“Hilda! Gat us ouf uf hwre awready!” Shila shouted, her voice muffled as she spoke with her tongue out, still trying to rub it with the cloth.

“Why the rush? Well, I mean I know you currently taste something worse than vomit in your mouth and our surroundings are pretty dark and terrible but still.”

“That’s not the problem! If the shark moves downwards any further then we’ll just be crushed!” She angrily shouted once again, this time no longer with her tongue out as if licking the cloth.

“I’m level 300, that’s not gon—” Hilda said, dismissing Shila’s ‘petty’ concerns.

“This isn’t earth! This isn’t normal water, we are only 16000ft under the water this time but the water pressure is equivalent to 29000ft deep!” Shila smacked Hilda, shaking her in a panicked manner.

“Well, we’ll be fine as long as the shark doesn't go any further down. I mean, what’s the chance it reenters the ravine and goes even deeper?” Hilda shrugged, dismissing Shila once again.

“Hilda, every time I warn you about a problem and you don’t listen, we get into trouble,” Shila said as she got annoyed at her own reminder.

Hilda and Shila were both suddenly thrown to the ceiling of the shark’s body before falling back down, the shark’s body slanted towards the front.

“It has the pressure of 30000ft and rising,” Shila said, crossing her arms as she looked straight at Hilda.

“I’m sorry, third time’s the charm, I’ll remember it next time,” Hilda said, getting her smack on her head.

“This is the third time!” She shouted angrily.
