As I realize that I am speaking in English, the girl breaks open the door to see if I am alive. The dragon's attention turns to her. When she notices this, she goes pale. "She clearly doesn't like you focusing on her," I say to the dragon. "Wow, you... can talk with dragons," she asks me. "Yep, seems so," I respond. "So you aren't a figment of my imagination," the dragon says with a clearly pleased tone. "Never was." "You are one interesting fellow; let's form a bond." "What do you mean by... bond?" The dragon proceeds to expin what a dragon's bond (it's the name of the chapter) is for two hours. I will spare you the final brain cell you have and shorten it. In essence, a bond is when a dragon gains a human form and the ability to live in exchange for a third of their power given to the other, along with being unable to disobey the orders of the benefactor. I had to let that sink in for a second. An actual dragon wanted me to bond with them, not a royal, but me. Naturally, I had to say, "Yeah, sure." The moment I finished speaking, I felt a searing pain in my chest, and clearly, I was not the only one. In the end, I fainted.
