  As they kept exploring, Midas was now certain that the previous Guild Leader had a deal with whoever owned this secret base. “I should have finished my investigation before Celia woke up…” She thought with a frustrated tone.

  Midas: “You three…” Her words stopped there.

  Celia: “???”

  No, really. Midas, Ria, Lem, and Carma, were all now frozen in time. Only Celia remained aware, causing terror, which quickly faded, to fill the young girl’s mind.

  Faith: “Child, come hither.” A woman’s voice sounded in Celia’s head.

  Nervously, Celia followed the voice’s patient and accurate directions. Eventually, she found herself face to face with an odd scene.

  Faith: “Oh, sorry for the mess.” She said with an embarrassed tone, quickly hiding the mess with a flick of her wrists.

  Faith: “What is your name, dear?” She asked, tenderly patting Celia’s head, even though she knew who this was.

  Celia: “Celia…” She answered, feeling shy, but not scared in the least.

  Faith: “Celia, huh? A pretty name… fitting. Anyway, once you’re older, than we can meet again. For now, let us… make you look good.” She replied with a lewd, tricksy tone.

  Midas: “Celia!”

  Faith knew full well that Celia couldn’t lie to those she loved, so the Supreme Goddess had no choice but to manipulate Celia’s memories and the truth of this scene.

  When Celia next opened up her eyes, she was covered in blood, holding her dagger, with a (now mostly intact) Demonic man on the ground in front of Celia. His heart had been pierced, with him be unmoving, clearly dead.

  Celia: “He… he…” She stutter out, before Midas hugged her tightly.

  In the false memories she received, the man tried to marry Celia, which is how the young woman once again got the drop on a more powerful being than herself. Though deceased, one could still peek at his Status, and the others did.
