Chapter 38: Once More, It Was Shocking...

Faith knew about Celia being alive and well, and even where she lived, her current situation, etc. So, as further proof of her undying love, Faith set out to deal with this dangerous conspiracy.

She just didn’t expect Celia to randomly pop out of the woodworks, giving Faith a grand and welcome surprise. Either way, she did her job, and Celia wasn’t even close to being old enough to court yet. As such, she made her exit, not letting the enterprising Midas become knowing of Faith’s power or existence.

  Slash!

Midas: “The Ter family will not listen to my threats, unlike that Empire.” She said with an angry tone.

  Gut!

Carma: “There is a family? I thought that it was just Robbie…” She replied with a conflicted tone.

  Smash!

Ria: “Robbie was the current head of the Ter family, but there are more members of it.” She explained in Midas’s stead.

  Celia: “(~z~)”

While Celia slept peacefully, the others were slaughtering Goblin after Goblin, with Goblin Champions caught in their rampage as well.

Midas had wisely erased Faith’s implanted memories, saving Celia’s innocence. The side effect was the young girl falling into slumber.

As for the Ter family… Midas wasn’t that worried about them. Robbie, the now-deceased head of that family, was hated by all around.

Demons, by default, only bear some hints of their race. Such as tails, or horns, etc. Most of the time, they look like Humans, but Robbie had a horrid appearance. This was primarily due to him making sacrifice packs to evil Outer Gods and Goddesses, changing his looks for the worst.

  Break!

Midas: “Are you all not hardened, S Rank Adventurers? Fight!” She demanded, freeing the enslaved Adventurers, even giving them weapons.

Without the Demonic God, Robbie Ter, there to keep them in line, and as the strong Midas was backing them up, they all soon joined the fight with gusto. It wouldn’t be long until this war camp was completely wiped off the face of this planet…

  Three Hours Later.

Midas: “All dead? Good.” She said, smugly kicking the body of a dead Goblin Champion.

Looking around, all the Goblins were dead and gone, with no casualties on the Guild’s side. Unfortunately, besides Robbie being in control of this place, Faith had destroyed any and all evidence of who else was involved in this conspiracy.

Meeting Celia again was nice, but Faith preferred to deal with those who will eventually get in her woman’s way now, alone, long before Celia ever had to bother with such worthless wastes.

Celia: “Huh? Why was I…” She groggily asked, rubbing her sleepy eyes.

Midas: “Sorry, Celia. We were careless, and a boulder, which was thrown by a Goblin Champion, managed to hit your head. Do you not remember that happening? Ah, we’ve already dealt with the Goblins.” She replied with a coaxing tone, gently rubbing Celia’s head, acting as if she truly had been hit.

  Celia: “N-no…” She answered sadly.

Carma: “…Well, you fought amazingly, Celia.” She exclaimed, following along with Midas’s lie.

Ria: “Yes. Though you haven’t checked your Status yet, I am sure that you’ll be happy with the results.” She happily added.

  Celia: “( ? _ ? )”
