Chapter 9: Wisely Getting Away With It.
Young Bandit: “Captai… Leader, there really is no one else inside the carriage. Just cargo, as the young lady mentioned.” He reported.
Bandit Leader: “That so? I… we’ll be on our way then, little missy.” He replied with an embarrassed chuckle, before then leading his group away.
Due to be not even twenty years of age, the squire was foolish. He only searched for their targets… causing him to not even notice the oddity of there being only one crate of cargo in the carriage.
Celia: “Mr. Tin, let’s carry on.” She suggested, getting back into the carriage.
Tin: “…Of course.” He agreed once he snapped back to reality.
By all means, if those two VIPs had gotten on board already, they’d both be dead. Sure, they mentioned wanting to capture those nobles, but what about Celia and Tin? As you’d expect, they’d both be silenced to avoid any remaining evidence.
In this way, Celia skillfully tricked that disguised knight captain, saving herself and Tin in the process. Once they make it to their destination… Tin was going to reward Celia with a hefty bonus, and give her a glowing review to the Adventurers Guild.

Five Hours Later.
Celia: “Thankfully, those foolish knights didn’t follow us. But, Mr. Tin, we still haven’t picked up our extra cargo…” She spoke with a yawn.
Tin: “We should have seen them by now… That group of disguised knights… most likely deterred them from appearing for a while. Oh, please call me just by name from now on.” He replied with an unsure tone and expression.
Along the way, Celia keenly made sure that group hadn’t followed them. In the end, they actually didn’t pursue their convoy at all. The woman never considered herself to be a good actress, but now she mused on if she could do that job in the future…
Celia: “Tin, how far away is our destination?” She asked with a curious tone.
Tin: “A week’s trip at the fastest.” He answered.
Celia: “So far?” She replied with a shocked head tilt. “The Guild Leader said that’d merely take three days to go there and back…” She thought, now worried that the timeframe of the mission had changed without her knowledge.
Tin: “Yes, I didn’t mention it on the request… The apples aren’t what we’re escorting, you see. In truth, we’re going to the capital city of the kingdom of Reri, at the asking of those VIPs.” He explained, now feeling remorseful (and scared) of having deceived the noble girl, Celia.
Celia: “Ah, that makes sense. It is supposed to be a secret escort.” She merely replied with a sigh, choosing to not blame Tin for this outcome.
Unfortunately for Celia, those knights, whom she could have actually held her own against, didn’t attack. Due to that, Celia’s System hasn’t felt the need to request a System Helper just yet…
