Chapter 41: Meeting The King.
Once she was all dolled up (not in a Gothic Lolita outfit this time), Celia was escorted by her maid. As Celia was one to take her time with walking, it took ten minutes for them to arrive at the dining room.
Mein: “Ah, you must be my daughter. Your beauty is no less that of Carma’s.” He said with a warm tone.
Celia: “And you must be my father. A pleasure to meet you, sir.” She replied with an equally warm tone.
Mein: “Likewise. I was worried about your manners… but they seem to be fine. Ah, I don’t care if you anger people you can deal with. I just think that angering someone while acting regal as a royal… is better.” He praised happily.
Celia had met King Mein, them arriving at the dining-room door at the same time, which surprised her a bit. Rather, she took her time without care, as she came here earlier than what Ria told her she needed to come and eat breakfast.
Mein: “Forgive me, Carma is usually late, as she graciously handles about half of my workload. Typically, I don’t come to eat early, and I did so today to surprise you. Unfortunately, it seems that, on top of having good manners, you’re also more than punctual.” He added, praising his cute daughter further as they entered the room.

A Sit Down Later.
Celia: “Father, what Level are you?” She asked with a curious tone.
Mein: “Me? 348. I’ve been stuck there for years, as I never have the time to go out and train… And, you? Could I please check out your Status?” He asked, also curious.
Celia: “I…” She stopped her words there.
Ria: “King Mein, please recall what Robbie Ter did to her. She doesn’t recall, but her body does…” She warned, directly in the king’s mind.
Faith still had a decent hatred of men, and, even though Celia was a hopeless lesbian, wanted to ensure that she never had any close contact with males. As such, even Celia’s body remembers what Robbie did.
This is what caused her silence, an odd, sickening feeling, which prevented her from agreeing to her father’s request. Realizing he overstepped his bounds by accident, Mein pretended that his asking didn’t happen.
Mein: “You worked hard during that quest, which was clearly more than just an S Rank. Tell me, what Level did you reach from it?” He asked with a smile.
Celia: “198 is my Level.” She answered, still shaken a bit, and confused as to why she felt this way. “Since when did I have such an aversion to males?” She thought, conflicted.
Mein: “Truly?! You’re closing in on my daughter… your sister’s Level. It is as they say, those with a System Helper really are favored by fate.” He mused with a thinking pose, feeling pride and happiness that Carma managed to snatch such an amazing person away into their camp.
While Mein stared at her with revery, Celia just tilted her head. Despite being well over the age of 50, the King looked no older than 20, with his regal, gray beard being the only indicator that Mein was in an advanced age. This System… really is crazy. And here I thought that Runey was cruel…
