Volume 8. Chapter 44: Learning About Wraiths! (Chapter 745.)

  Chapter 44: Learning About Wraiths!

Midas: “Burning, freezing, etc. I’ve tried it all. Obviously, a powerful Ghost, likely a Wraith, is doing this.” She explained with a groan.

Celia: “A Wraith? What’s that, exactly?” She repeated with a curious tone.

Midas: “The peak Evolution that a Ghost can reach. Either way, it hasn’t harmed anyone, and not even I can detect the origins of this supposed Wraith.” She explained with a shrug.

These words didn’t calm Ria down, feeling that, once more, Celia is going to get herself involved in something crazy. “If this keeps up… Celia might wish to go investigate that Wraith!” She thought, not willing to let Celia get hurt once more.

Ria: “Lady Midas, can you not deal with the Wraith?” She calmly suggested, implying that Midas could do so, but was being lazy.

Midas: “What? Do you think that I’d give anyone a chance to harm Celia? No, no, not at all.” She replied with a scoff, crossing her arms.

  Ria: “…”

Midas: “The location on the quest… it never shows up. And, like I said, I can’t trace it at all. Frankly, I am not aware of what this Wraith is thinking…” She continued, rubbing her head in frustration.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

  An Hour Later.

Ria and Midas then spent an entire hour convincing Celia to forget about the Wraith quest, and that she should choose something else. As she was still feeling off from the Goblin Champion extermination quest, which went completely off the rails, Celia didn’t really oppose their teachings.

Celia: “This one seems fine.” She said, presenting the quest paper to her maid.

Ria: “Finding a cat? Lady Celia… is this your way of scolding me gently?” She asked with an awkward tone and expression.

Celia: “What? No, please read it more carefully.” She clarified with a giggle.

It was, in fact, a quest to find a cat. But, it wasn’t a normal feline. Instead, a Vermila Tiger had gone missing. Such monsters were easily S Rank, and almost always over Level 100.

That was for ones in the wild, while the missing Vermila Tiger was raised with Humans, trained, and way stronger than normal ones. The person who put up the quest even mentioned that Sehr (the name of their pet) going missing was extremely weird. She had to have been kidnapped, is what the quester assumes.

Ria: “Hmm… this is fine, yes. The best outcome is not having to fight this Sehr, but even in that event, we can handle it.” She finally agreed, happy that Celia went with a wise, and easily completed, quest this time around.

Celia: “Alright, I’ll go confirm it.” She said with a smile, before then walking over to a free reception desk (going with a different person than the girl who Ria was a bit rude to earlier), and placed down the quest.

Receptionist: “Taking on this quest? May I see your badge?” She asked kindly.

Celia: “Sure, here.” She accepted, showing off her regal and shiny S Rank badge.

With that, the receptionist noted down that Celia took on this quest, and stamped her approval of it. Then, Ria and Celia parted the Guild, intending to go and find the person who was missing their pet.
