Volume 8. Chapter 23: Remorseful. (Chapter 724.)

  Chapter 23: Remorseful.

  Opening Door Gently Sound!

Carma: “Celia, I am sorry for keeping you alone for so…” The rest of words got caught in her mouth.

Celia: “Hm?” She voiced with a head tilt.

Lem: “…” “Dammit… I knew that I should have ordered the maids to be more strict.” She thought with a sigh.

Carma was unable to speak, and the maids all refused to look Lem or the princess in the eyes. During her absence, Celia had become a dress-up doll for the maids.

Currently, Celia was wearing a cute, pink gothic clothing set, which made her look even younger than she actually was. It also made Celia absolutely adorable, and 50% of Carma’s silence was from her being in awe of Celia’s previously unknown cuteness.

Carma: “Ria, why did you allow this mistreatment?” She asked with a scolding tone.

Ria: “Forgive me, My Lady. She… Lady Celia is just too cute. At first, I let the others… indulge in dressing Lady Celia up, but then I got involved in it as well. I couldn’t help myself…” She answered with a remorseful bow.

Celia: “Carma, they asked for consent first. Besides, I’ve learned to… or rather, for some reason, I feel like, regardless of style, I like pretty clothing like this.” She interjected on the maid’s behalf.

Prior to this, the maids put Celia in whatever cute outfits that they could find. But Ria couldn’t get enough, her soul having hidden memories, causing the maid to lose her rational thinking.

She had commissioned, at the fastest speed, this set, which greatly complimented Celia’s pink hair and eyes. It was like the girl’s attire was now fully part of her… On top of that, if it was enchanted, Celia likely wouldn’t mind wearing it all the time, already poisoned by Midas’s taste, and further by the ecstatic maids, who happily got a new dress-up doll ripe for their playing.

Carma: “Regardless of if you agreed or not, Lady Celia, these actions are not ones befitting maids from the royal family. Nor you, whom I have… helped secure nobility.” She replied, directing scoldings at Celia this time.

Celia: “Eh, I seem to have an inherent weakness for women…” She shrugged in reply.

  Carma: “…”

Lem: “Lady Celia, Mein, the King, has agreed to adopt you into the royal family. With the caveat that you secretly do not have any right to inherit the throne.” She informed in the princess’s stead, seeing her charge look too shocked to explain such things.

Celia: “Oh, so I’m a princess now? No wonder Carma is so upset with me becoming the plaything of these various maids…” She replied with an unbothered giggle.

Looking around, the princess keenly noticed a maid who had her back to a wardrobe, holding it closed like that. It was blatantly bursting with even more clothes of varying styles. Carma could only assume that the maids had spent most of the week just dressing the cute little girl up for fun. Either way, such mistreatment, even if she likes it, can’t carry on any further…
