Chapter 62. Not a therapist.

Xania and Anise are both teleported to a weird, elvish-themed bedroom, and Davien points at one side of the bed for Anise to sit on and another for Xania.

“Why are we here?” Xania asked, crossing her arms.

“Just wait,” Davien answered, watching the both of them sit down.

He disappears for a couple of minutes, leaving the room in silence before reappearing.

“Alright, got somebody,” He said, disappearing again as he tore another scroll. The queen suddenly appeared in his spot, looking confused.

“What?” She said, looking around as Xania and Anise both refused to make eye contact with her and each other.

“What's going on?” She continued to ask as Davien appeared, passing her a piece of paper before disappearing.

  “Wha…?”

She shakes her head, deciding not to ask further due to the lack of answers before turning to read from the paper.

Therapeutic time, best of luck ??

  “...”

She walked towards the door only to find it locked before turning back to Anise and Xania who were sitting on her bed, both crossing their legs as they leaned on their arms, facing away from each other.

“Seriously? I'm a queen, not a therapist,” she muttered softly to herself, pulling a chair in front of the both of them and sitting down before sighing.

“Alright, since I assume your friend isn't going to let me out and since I've got nothing to do, why not?” She said to herself sarcastically.

“Fine, what are you two even arguing about?

  “She won't appreciate my effort.”

“She won't put in enough effort.”

They both uncross their legs, crossing the other leg over.

  “...”

The queen walked away to a cabinet on the other side of her bed, confusing Anise and Xania.

“Just wait,” She muttered, pulling a pack of instant coffee out and preparing a cup of coffee using water and fire magic.

“Right, I have a feeling I'm gonna need this.” She sat down In Front of them, taking a sip.

“Alright, I'm going to assume this has something to do with why I was asked to teach elf magic?” She asked, turning to Xania and getting a small nod as confirmation.

“And I assume you were the one who asked for her to do so?” She asked, this time turning to Anise, getting a nod from her too.

“Isn't what matters here the fact she tried?” The queen asked Anise, getting a very reluctant nod before turning to Xania again.

“And couldn't you also put in more effort? From what I know, it seems she does more work,” The queen asked, getting a reluctant nod from her too.

Anise sighed as she turned to Xania who saw this out of the corners of her eyes and glanced back at her slightly.

“Fine, okay? I suppose I was maybe just slightly annoyed that my research wasn't getting anywhere,” Anise admitted, turning to Xania fully.

“Fine, I'll put in a bit more effort next time,” Xania said, turning slightly towards Anise.

“Maybe you should put in slightly more than just a bit,” Anise muttered, annoying Xania.

“Then maybe you shouldn't blame your stupid research on me!” Xania angrily shouted.

“... Crap,” the queen muttered, placing her face in her hands as she sighed, listening to Anise and Xania.

  (}-----Couple hours later-----{)

Anise and Xania continued to argue, almost having gotten physical if not for the queen as she tried to sip her coffee but finds none left.

  “I'm done,” the queen muttered.

“Shut up!” She shouted angrily, surprising Anise and Xania as they sat back down.

  “I’m a queen, not a goddamn therapist!”

  “You!”

  She pointed to Anise.

“The situation was better but you made it worse again!”

  “And you!”

  She pointed to Xania.

“You escalated it too quickly by shouting!”

The queen kept scolding Xania and Anise as they kept their heads down, occasionally glaring at the other, getting scolded for that too.

“You two aren't leaving until you both TALK this out! I'm going to get more damn coffee!” She shouted, blowing up the wall opposite the door as she walked through the hole in the wall into Elvia and Ella’s bedroom, both of whom were listening in through the walls, getting caught as the queen blew the wall up.

Xania and Anise watched as the queen made another cup of coffee, adding alcohol to it as she downed it, followed by the entire bottle of alcohol.

Anise and Xania boy glanced at each other slightly, too confused by the situation to remain angry.

As Xania prepared to teleport away, Anise grabbed her tail, annoying her.

“I won't shout at you again so let's just forgive and forget about this,” Anise muttered, not wanting to attract the queen's attention.

“I'll work harder too then. In that case, we're resolved, so let's get out of here before she returns to shout again?” Xania said, watching as the queen walked out of the twin's room before returning with another 3 bottles, one of which she started drinking immediately.

“Yep,” Anise agreed, teleporting them both out, accidentally bringing the twins along as they ran over.

They all ended up in Anise's and Xania's bedroom as Xania looked at them.

“Look, I don't want to go back when she's drunk, it's not often she gets so angry. The last time she even got angry was over a year ago,” Elvia said, causing Anise and Xania to think back a few seconds ago at how the usually calm queen acted and nodded to themselves, promising never to anger her again.

“She's an ally so attacking isn't even okay,” Xania said, getting another nod of agreement from Anise.

“Well, your old room is still available so just stay there until she comes to pick you up?,” the twins both turned to look at each other before going over, Elvia waving bye as Ella rushes her out.

“We have something to tell you later,” Elvia shouted as she got pushed out by Ella.

Xania and Anise both turn to each other giving each other a shrug before returning to what they were doing before arguing.
